Hi, I'm Joey Leurs, currently residing in New Jersey, USA. I migrated from the Netherlands at the end of 2023. My journey in IT began early in my childhood. I was always glued to the computer, fascinated by technology. I still remember the first PC my parents got in our household, a full tower Dell with one of those big CRT monitors. And every time I wanted to go on the "World Wide Web", my mom had to hang up the phone, and the iconic dial-up sound that followed when connecting was so captivating to me.

As I grew older, my passion for IT led me to pursue a vocational degree. I started my career in a service desk role, working my way up through sheer adaptability and a love for learning.

What excites me most about tech is the ability to create. I got into programming in 2021, and one of my first projects was a web scraper that gathered price data for items in a video game I was playing. Seeing it come to life was a thrilling experience that solidified my passion for coding.

Outside of work, I enjoy making videos that I put on YouTube, I play video games, boardgames, hangout with friends, and occasionally paint miniatures in my spare time.
